About NIOH:

NIOH Health Research, Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, under the flagship institution of the Department, under the auspices of the Indian Council of Medical Research. Of India.

The need for research in the field of occupational health in the country's first Indian Research Fund Association (IRFA), Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) has been appreciated by the precursor. IRFA 1947 1945 in accordance with the recommendations of the committee headed by Colonel Bozman an industrial Health Advisory Committee (IHAC) has set up an industrial health research unit of the All India Institute of Hygiene and Public Health was created, Kolkata. In 1956, IHAC priority of the Government of India during the Second Five-Year Plan for the establishment of an institute of occupational health research should be given to the recommendation.

National Institute of Occupational Health (NIOH), Ahmedabad, ICMR, New Delhi was established. BJ Medical College as the institution "Occupational Health Research Institute" (Ohri), Ahmedabad, in 1970 Ohri in the year 1966 as "National Institute of Occupational Health" (NIOH) was renamed and moved to the current premises started functioning. Southern and eastern regions to meet local needs, the Institute of Bangalore (1977) and West (1980), two regional occupational health centers (ROHC) established.

1. Accounts Officer

Qualifications: 
Essential: Candidates must be graduated in Commerce from recognized University. 
Desirable: 3 Months ISTM Training in CAsh and Accounts/SAS Passed.
Experience: 10 years of experience of which atleast 3 years should be in supervisory capacity as section officer in a govt./Semi Govt./Autonomous Body of Government.
Age Limit: Applicants should be below 45 years.
Pay scale: Selected candidates will be paid in the pay band of Rs.15600-39100 and grad pay of Rs.5400/. p.m.

2. Section Officer

Number of Vacancies: 01 (Un-Reserved).
Qualifications: 
Essential: Candidates must be graduated from recognized University. 
Desirable: Candidates should have 5 years of working experience as Ministerial staff or equivalent in central/state Govt. or public sector undertaking.
Age Limit: Applicants should be below 35 years.
Pay scale: Selected candidates will be paid in the pay band of Rs.9300-34800 and grad pay of Rs.4600/. p.m.

3. Officer Assistant


Number of Vacancies: 01 (Un-Reserved).
Qualifications: 
Essential: Candidates must be graduated from recognized University. 
Desirable: Candidates should have 5 years of working experience as Ministerial staff or equivalent in central/state Govt. or public sector undertaking.
Age Limit: Applicants should be below 28 years.

4. Library Information Assistant


Number of Vacancies: 01 (Un-Reserved).
Qualifications: 
Essential: a. Bachelors Degree in library science or library and information science from a recognized university/Institute.
b. 2 years professional experience in a library under central govt./Autonomous or statutory organization/PSU/University or recognized research or educational institution.   
Desirable: i) Diploma in computer application from a recognized university or institute.
Age Limit: Applicants should be below 30 years.
Pay scale: Selected candidates will be paid in the pay band of Rs.9300-34800 and grad pay of Rs.4200/. p.m.

5. Stenographer (English)

Number of Vacancies: 03 (1 Reserved for SC, 2 Reserved for OBC ).
Qualifications: 
Essential: 12th pass or equivalent minimum speed of 80 w.p.m in shorthand and 40 w.p.m in typewriting correspond to 10500 KDPH on an average of 5 key depressions for each word.
Age Limit: Applicants should be below 25 years.
Pay scale: Selected candidates will be paid in the pay band of Rs.5200-20200 and grad pay of Rs.2400/. p.m.

6. LDC

Number of Vacancies: 03 (2 Un-Reserved, 1 Reserved for OBC ).
Qualifications: 
Essential: 12th pass or equivalent minimum speed of 35 w.p.m in English on computer correspond to 10500 KDPH/900 KDPH on an average of 5 key depressions for each word.
Age Limit: Applicants should be below 27 years.
